My friend lives near by, this is a short walk from Victoria Station - i spotted the site a year ago, and it has taken all this time to get back there at a decent time of day, in reasonable weather, with a camera in my hands.
It's not far from Clapham Junction which is supposedly the busiest railway station in the UK. I'm not enough of a train spotter to know or care for sure, but these lines all split up into Victoria Station which has a LOT of platforms. thanks for the nice comments!

That is a great shot, the mix of the railway and the power station really work well together. Just a shame about the lamp post, but they nearly always find a way of getting in a shot.
I wonder how many people look realize that the Thames passing between the train shed and the power station? I will definitely have to make my way down there at some point myself though. Incidentally, the reason there are so many tracks is because of all the sidings for parking the trains when not in service. Victoria is the third busiest station in Britain and a terminus for south London services and those from Kent and Sussex. Clapham Junction, a few miles away, is the busiest stretch of railways with more than half of the services from Victoria going through there as well as all the services into Waterloo, which is the busiest station. (My dad works on the railways!) Michael.
