Canon Canada (out of Calgary) is charging me just under $300CDN to fix my poorly focusing out of warranty 20D. Gotta do it!

I was quoted $180 labor plus tax and return shipping.

How about a local independent repair shop?

Or how about trying it yourself before sending it to Canon? If you fix it you're in good shape. If you can't, it'll still cost the same.
