Orange County, Ca meetup

Hi gang, I didn't see anything like this happening already so I thought I'd get the ball rolling.

In the last couple of decades of photography, access to equipment and technology has EXPLODED and become available to more and more people. For a small percentage of what the pros have been investing in for years, anybody with an eye and a desire could become a photographer, sadly many of these peoples works sat in albums in drawers in bedrooms only to be displayed when pride or vanity might feel slightly comfortable. The internet has been a HUGE asset to blossoming photographers, millions of people have the ability to publish their work in a global forum for the world to appreciate, thanks internet!

Recently, thanks to JPG Magazine, that ability has gone one step further, we can ACTUALLY make the leap from the internet to print!

Also thanks to the internet, our ability to share technique, criticism and experience has grown, we shoot, post and get advice on our work all in the same day. I purpose to take it one step further, bring people who are geographically similar together in real life, let them share their talents and advice in person.

To that end, I'm going to host a meeting here in Orange County, Ca, on Saturday March 31st, 2007. The location will be at main beach in Laguna Beach at 4pm. We'll meet at the grassy area just north of the basketball courts, dead center in this map (google maps):

I figured on this first meeting, I'd give advice on my techniques for shooting sunsets, Laguna Beach is probably one of the most awesome places EVER to shoot them!
