I like the overall concept but not the crop. Maybe crop it a little closer to get rid of some of the dead space on the left. The pic also seems just a tad bit underexposed.

Thanks Jason. One thing I always struggle with is the use of natural light vs. flash. I try to use the level of light available to capture the moment...and my living room gets good daylight...but you're right, it does sometimes seems like a tad too little. As for the crop, I'll play around and see what happens. Thanks for the C&C.

THey are cute... a little underexposed, but nothing that you can't fix up in PS>... Here's a quick edit, in color and B&W with a warm tone.. I think the black and white make for a nice timeless look... I"d love to see this shot with the sweet baby's feet showing.

I personally would rather see baby feet rather than baby shoes. That is unless there is some sort of relevance to the parents with these shoes. The shot doesn't really hold my intrest or grab me as something that would be printed and framed.

but then again.. . im a guy.

I love Kristy's B&W conversion of that!

Having been through many of those baby shoes recently (and about to go through them all again) I think it's a cute idea. Baby feet are cute, too, but also almost overdone these days. This is certainly a better option than the old tradition of bronzing the first walking shoes.

ah ha, now I see. first pair of walking shoes. I guess these shoes do have some relevance.

Sorry, I have to say I think the angle is not quite right. The left leg is very bright and basically the same size as the shoe and the two are competing for attention. The shot need some PP as Kristy has done to give the photo some charm rather than looking like a snapshot.

Kristy-you did to this pic what had to be done. Thanks for the edit! While I'm not a super fan of PP, it can take a less-than-stellar pic and make it somewhat strong.

AWW thanks.. I'm glad you liked my edits... now you can play with it and get it to a point of framing.. the little shoes are cute... I"m a fan of toes, but sometimes a special shoe or handmade bootie can be so special too..

I love learning in Photoshop.. editing other images helps me to learn and so I like to play around to see how something can be improved... Maybe I'm a crappy photographer so I have to make up for my short-commings in post processing... Hmm,,??
