Default Joshua Tree

I decided to take a road trip out to Joshua Tree yesterday and have some fun with the new camera. I am learning, so any constructive criticism would be very helpful Thanks in advance!

Interesting plant and I would have been happy to get those shots of it. If I went a second time I would try with the background in focus, more out of focus and try to get some with the plant with less background, just some thoughts.

Nice shots. One minor issue appears to be some light fall-off in the corners. Were you using a hood? I'd also like to see a little shallower dof. Colors and contrast are amazing!

C&C offered as just a way to make a magnificent shot spectacular, IMHO.
