Nice, I like LH's. I think yours is represented well. It is a bit centered, in the frame, so maybe use the fence to guide you into it a little more. Maybe a slightly different perspective?

Details/exposure/etc, are nice. Nothing wrong there. Even the puffy clouds look nice. Thanks for sharing.

Please take the time to comment on one of my LH's, here.

This is decent. I wonder what it would have looked like if you got right up to the picket fence and shot through it.

I'm very familiar with this lighthouse...Ocracoke is the spot where the British captured and hanged the pirate Blackbeard. Did you get any shots of this lighthouse overlooking the marina? It's very picturesque (especially around sunset), as it sets up over the harbor. Unfortunately the last time I was there...all I had was a point & shoot.

Here is a sunrise shot of the island as we were leaving it on the ferry to Cedar Island

Yes. Jest went there this past weekend and here is one as you descibed it:

Was there a storm in the area? That foreground looks pretty battered up. The lighthouse is nice, though...you can almost feel the warmth, but can see the cold. Might clone the bird out though...competes with the rest of the image.

Gotta love LH's. I know I sure love finding 'em.

That indeed is the perspective...but it's cropped too close, you need to widen the view of the harbor. And I agree with the other commentator...needs to be less gloomy.
