Default A flash template site worth checking out

Not too long ago I posted about my $100 flash template from Winklet, but I was still looking for a better alternative that was worth spending more money on. It seems that many of the more sophisticated template sites force you into using their hosting and/or paying some kind of maintenance fees and I don't want to go there.

I found a link on the digital wedding forum for http://www.flashpalette.com/ and I have to say that I think they're defintitely worth checking out if you've been in the same boat as me. I did buy a template from them and they've been super responsive to my emails and questions. The added bonus for me is that you can download the site w/ site builder, and then you put it on your own server. There's no forced hosting, maint. fees, etc. Their selection isn't vast, but they do seem to offer a good product.

They don't do hosting as far as I know - you buy the site and the site builder and upload it wherever you choose. You can dowload the template/site builder for free to try them out, then you get a code when you pay for it that unlocks it for internet use. You don't have to wait weeks to hear back from BluDomain with promises of when they'll get around to getting your site online. I had my new site up the same day I bought my template.

Cheers

I use a flashpallete site. I've been happy with them. Not many flash template will allow you to download and completely configure your site for free. You can even have it externally hosted, but it will say it is a trial version. They have even put together a series of videos that show you how to use the editor.

For hosting, I use godaddy. Easy, cheap, and pretty good service.

I use flashpallette site and it seems slow when demoing theirs but once you upload and make it live its a world of difference. I do not host thru them so I cant tell you anything about that

What does their back end look like for updating the images, text, content, etc?

FWIW, I've used BluDomain for about 2-3 years now, and never had an issue.
