Default Sony Ebook Reader

Anyone use one of these? I just got one as a present and it seems pretty cool. Shows BW photos really well. Not made for that but it works.

I'm waiting for the color e-ink books to come out, myeself... That's when I think the e-book technology could really take off. Imagine downloading your favorite photography magazine to the reader, and having it (and whole stack of archived issues) in full-color, along with other magazines too.

I noticed that Popular Photography allows you to get a "paperless" version of their magazine (at same price, I might add), but who wants to be tied to a computer to read it? Magazines in e-book form will be what kicks it to the next level.

I heard somewhere they're working on the color... but may be a couple years yet before its marketable.

I've been considering an e-book reader myself. Since you happen to have one, what's the real resolution like? It is, after all, just a somewhat inconvenient screen.

My company is an investor in e-ink and we supply materials that go into the display. Very impressive technology with good detail - but if you are waiting for the color equivalent, you'll be able to pick that up on your commercial flights to Mars trip.
