Sensitive + Shopoholic = chick?

I was flipping through the lens archive and noticed there wasn't one for this lens. So I figured maybe I'd create a thread. 50L owners go for it.

Wow, what great seperation of subjects from backgrounds and fantastic colors. Hefty price tag though, if it's your bread and butter lens I can see it'd be worth it.

The 50's price will come down eventually after the initial rush. It already has. The 85mm holds onto the price because it really is a niche lens. Your average person won't buy an 85mm - but they will buy a 50mm.

He went back to a 30D...from the latest update...correct?
By the way, to those that posted...very nice shots. Seems to be a nice lens...but, is it better than the f1.4 equivalent? |

^^ Have the issues been mostly resolved with the 50 1.2L? Some seemed to have issues with f1.2, when taking shots...some lenses were front/backfocusing, etc.

chilli710: How do you get it so sharp? do you always shoot with a tripod? What PP do you use?

w/ 1.2, I don't think you need a tri-pod. Atleast I never had the need for one.
