anyone ever tried to start lucid dreaming?

I did the first couple of steps a couple years ago and had some really intense, vivid dreams that I had a bit of control over. I lost interest in it, but I keep thinking about trying again.

That is awesome. I haven't heard of that before, but I remember dreams I had when I was little where I had a little control.

I used to do this when I was younger... I love dreams, really.

But I used to have this recurring dream that bothered me quite a bit, so I consciously took control over it and changed what was happening... after that the dream never came back... I don't even remember what it was now.

After that I went through a phase where i would wake up in the middle of a good dream, and when I'd fall asleep the next time, I'd try to take over where it left off.. It actually worked... but that was years ago.

I do dream alot, but have not tried to remember them past the point of waking up... I used to write them down for fun. We should all try it as an exercise. I think it's a good way to learn something about yourself.

I used to try writing down what happened in my dreams, but it was all so odd and nonsensical, that it made no sense when I tried to read it later (having forgotten the dream).

Recently, I've been able to tell I am dreaming. I then have control over what I do - it's strange and then I seem to wake up soon after.

Also, if I'm having a bad dream - I know it's a dream, and I can just wake myself up by opening my eyes!
