Default Washington National Cathedral

A couple of weeks ago I contributed the Catholic Basilica of Washington, now it's the Protestants turn. The is the Washington National Cathedral located in Northwest D.C. This church is non-denominational to all Christian faiths...although I do believe it's Episcopal in nature. The last state funeral for a president, Gerald Ford took place here - along with Ronald Reagan not too long ago.

C&C welcome, let me know if you like them.

Nice series...It shows how grand the building is with the cars parked next to it. I'm glad you included that one. Lots to look at inside and out of the church.

That particular shot is from the rear of the structure...where all the parking and administrative buildings are. Lotsa traffic back there as you can see.

Great shots of a wonderful building. It took 83 years to build (because it was built using medieval techniques) and is probably one of the last built English Gothic styled buildings anywhere in the world.
