Default G2 Fault

Wow! G2 - that's right, but unfortunately after all these years of 100% reliability and 1000's of images later, the zoom lever is no longer communicaing with the lens I'm all ready to give up on it and say it's come to the end of it's life, but it's been so brilliant I can't bear to scrap it. I'm pretty certain that the problem is with the lever and have had a brief go at taking it apart with a view to cleaning the connection. After carefully removing the obvious outer screws, I couldn't get the casing open and decided to stop. Is it worth trying to get it repaired professionally or is it time to say the game is up?

I have exactly the same issue with my G3, it sometimes works but is intermittent the zoom lever is very loose.

I think it will cost too much even if you can find a replacement part and someone to do the work.

Oh well, the G7 looks interesting. I wonder if it has the same magic

Cheers

Lack of swivel screen has been one factor that has put G diehards off
