Default Northwest 200 Thursday Practice

Hi went to the practice at the Northwest 200, first time shooting motorbike racing, all taken at York corner
10D 80-200 f2.8

Nice crisp shots!
If I would change anything, I'd have you try a slower shutter speed to get more sense of motion and speed.

Excellent shots great stuff, as previoulsy said try a slightly slower shutter speed something around 160th/sec for good wheel/background blurr.

Please post some of the racing when it starts...

Love the shots - shame about the clipped rear tyre ion #1 but the rest look great to me.

Great shots for your first time Jim, as the others said drop your shutter speed
I think Rutter will be the one to beat just like his dad in the 70's-80's one of the top riders of his time at the NW200, If you can get hold of a copy of The road Racers and V four Victory it shows Joey as a young lad starting, they were called The Armoy Armada Joey Dunlop Frank Kennedy, Mervyn Robinson (joey's brother in law) and Jim Dunlop sadly only Jim is still with us all the others lost thier lives to thier love of racing
