I think mine would have to be when Bucky Dent hit the homerun over the Green Monster at Fenway in '78 to defeat those sucky Red Sox.

Me getting fired 2 days before traveling to Indy for F1 (the day it sucked) and then getting my refund for a race I never went to.
Saw the Queen and Sir Gretzky at a Canucks opener once. Sitting with Macho Man to my left and Ron Jeremy to my right in the VIP lounge at the SanDiego Xgames was pretty bad ass. Macho Man is huge and smells good. Ron, not so much.

The magical run the Montreal Canadiens went on in 1993 to win the Stanley Cup winning 10 straight sudden death overtime games. I watched the whole playoffs on my knees!

Game 5 of the 1976 NBA finals. Boston Celtics over the Phoenix Suns in triple overtime. Considered by many to be the greatest NBA game ever. Watched with a friend in Phoenix. What a game! Most memorable event that I saw in person was at Dodger stadium in the mid 70's. Not even part of the game, but something I'll never forget. Dodgers were playing the Cubs, and 2 bozo's trotted out to the field and attemted to burn the American flag. Rick Monday was playing outfield for the Cubs, and ran over and snatched the flag away. Crowd went crazy, and the incedent has become part of Dodger lore.

All 7 games (but mostly the last 4) of the ALCS and then the Red Sox going on to win the series in '04.
Kind of the opposite of MDJAK Ahh... coming from behind 3 games to 0 to win 4-3... ahh yes. P.S. How about those back to back to back to back home runs a while ago? That was awesome.

WOW mine doesnt even compare, but Im posting anyway
Ive never been to a sporting event, either it was bad timing, no money or both. Ive been a college football fan since I can remember and the team of choice is the Oklahoma Sooners. After cheering them on from the living room for 20 years or so I got to go to a game last Sept. Not only was it my first game but I was able to see the next big thing here at OU, rb Adrian Peterson (#7 pick to the Vikings) and it was his last year here. This game we scored 59 while letting the opponents score a massive NOTHING. And to top it off the big man on campus scored 3 rushing td's. It was an experience Ill never forget, add the fact that my brother went with me and it was his first time to a game, it was something special.
