Default Art Wolfe

I used to catch his slide presentations when I was younger: They're were inspirational and educational.
Has anyone caught his show yet?
I have it on my DVR, looking forward to watching them.
Here's the link:

Thanks for the tip. I ran into him at the airport in Las Vegas back in 2005 when he was working on stuff for this show and talked photography with him for a few minutes. Very nice guy.

I wonder if we can get him to sign-up for POTN?

Caught a few of these so far. Very impressive. It seems mostly about showing you the different locations but there is a decent amount of 'photography tips' thrown in there too.

It's really good seeing him approach a place and then seeing what shots he walks out with and why.

Personally I prefer the ones focusing more on the landscapes than the animals (Bolivia and Alaska, Glacier Bay would be my favourites so far), but thats just me

Okay that is just a crock of cow patties. The tv schedule on the website shows all the large markets around Texas....except for mine! What gives, is San Antonio not good enough to show the series? I am gonna have to miss out on this I guess....really sucks.

You could order the DVDs - I ordered them and have watched the South Georgia Island (Penguins!!) episode 10 times now....

Go to Art's web site. There are plenty of clips from the show. Also most of the photo tech info is on his site and not shared during each episode.

Just been going through the website.
http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/travels/index.jsp
The gallery has some Exif data shown. I'm learning just from looking at that.
I'm surprised how often he uses what I'd consider a slow shutter speed for shots with movement in them, rarely pushing above 1/125. (Although, theres one or two shots which seem like static landscapes which he went for 1/1000, I'm not sure why).
Also, he's using a much smaller aperture than I've been doing so far, might be time to bump mine closer to f/11-f/18 as a starting point.
Just thought I'd share some observations.

For anybody in the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and surrounding areas, he's giving a two day seminar on the weekend of October 13 at DeSales University in Center Valley.
