I came across this one a minute ago. I don't even remember taking it, or anything about it. I think it was at the zoo. I'm not sure, though.

I can't wait until the meds kick in...

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

That's a great shot.. You've got appealing angles, lots of detail in the bird, nice framing and nice soft blues and browns in the background.

Nice..

Nice comp, Scott, even if you don't remember when, where and why you took it. :)

Or is that just an excuse so that you won't have to admit that you can't id the bird?

ROFL. It's a Sparrow, easily ID'd by the head shape. Given the locale (if it was the zoo) and what I remember from that day, I'd say it was a House Sparrow, Female.

Why do you think I got the IS lens...?

I just love EXIF... I just wish the camera had built-in GPS.

It was in portrait mode, but I didn't like the end result so I cropped the top. There's no crop side-to-side. These city birds just don't care it seems.

Second person I've heard talk about wanting GPS on their camera. Hey, maybe it'll catch on sometime.
