Aye!

And sharpening! *drools*

Now if they'll only do something about that pesky noise reduction....

I'm hoping Noise gets the same loving sharpening does, just wasnt one of the things they were willing to discuss yet.

I am going to bet that noise gets NOTHING. If you think about how ACR/CS work with both sharpening and noise it seems they put much more empasis on sharpening so the same applies here. It appears that Adobe is happy to let the third parties handle the noise stuff. I know Lightroom is suppoesed to be different, but in some ways I think it will be the same.

I'm happy with that, too, as long as those third parties can write plug-ins for Lightroom the way they always have for Photoshop. Having to use stand-alone software makes it a real pain.

Yes. There is no way I want to do round trips for Noise or any other "stuff". Keep it within the LR domain.

I was just bitchin' about the lack of this the other day. A very much welcome feature!

And I JUST LITERALLY got LIghtroom 1.0 about 25 minutes ago

But in all honesty I dont see a major need for an upgrade, Lightroom still blows me away. I had the trial version and when it expired, I missed using it so much I got it a month later. Whew, thought I was gonna have to go back to PSE 5

Good to see theyll fix the sharpening

I've been running it on my external HD without any problems, I copied the database file across so I can just plug the HD into my laptop and everything is as it should be.

What problems did you find?

Not a problem at all. Been doing that myself. It's just that sometimes it is not convenient to pulle out the external as well so I moved it all back to the internal drive. However - there is something about this in the Kelby LR book. Sems to be a bit cumbersum still but if it would be a better system for it in 1.1 I'm all for it.

Anyone else notice that Scott Kelby's blog post has been edited, with much of the detail he included taken out?

Guessing the Adobe gestapo didn't like someone saying nice things about them.
