So, for all the people who want to move here to work........... you sure you still wanna come? This is my front yard RIGHT NOW. May 24th! Ugh......... Where's my toque?

That big branch covers my front step. We have to shake it off to get out of the house.

I can't see the pick, but looking out of my office window i am guessing I know what its of. hehe.. Who needs spring, we go from winter to summerish back to winter.. Calgary is just more efficient hehe, getting rid of the seasons that we don't need.

We thaw out in Febraruy...

During the Olympics in 1988 it was 17C on average (about 64F). In late April of 2002, the temp went from +20 to -40 (th'ats +70 to -40F) during one day.

We get snow all the time in May and the blizzards start again in September.

We usually seem to get this on the Victoria Day weekend. It was 3 days late this year. LOL It's why I never plant my bedding out plants until the first week of June. And even then, you're taking a chance. We've had snow in July and August, although it doesn't stick. Pretty much everything that was on the ground this morning has melted already. But you should see all the broken tree limbs all over the city. The snow was very heavy wet snow and the branches couldn't hold them up.

Don't listen to him. Calagary is one of the most beautiful cities in the world !

oh ya thats right there is something WEST of TORONTO!!!!! haha!! it was a gorgeous 30-something degrees here today!

weird you dont usually see green green green grass with snow like that...nice!

Spoken like somoene who hasn't seen much of the world.

I was born there. You couldn't pay me enough money to live there. Mind you the day after the snow it was 20 celsius. Go figure.
