...or at least perpetuating the species.

This is the "male superior" position, in which the male feels superior when he can figure out a way through the polka-dot armor.

They're on a pumpkin flower and they have such a high shine, I'm surprised not to be able to see myself.

They're also a thank-for all the nice commments on my javelin-wielding pumpkin plant. Both shots were taken the same afternoon.

CDS... that's one of the great reasons to post here... for others' insights into helmets and all sorts of things. Thanks.

c0ntr0lz... thanks... I'll post details when I get back to my other computer. I seldom think about doing it these days.

In the meantime, I can offer the technique I use to get things in focus using +15 diopers: I half-press the shutter to get something (anything) in focus and then I move the camera in and out slightly until I see exactly what I want in focus. The depth of field is so shallow that you need to make decisions on anything that's not perfectly flat.
