This is the "male superior" position, in which the male feels superior when he can figure out a way through the polka-dot armor. ![]() They're on a pumpkin flower and they have such a high shine, I'm surprised not to be able to see myself. They're also a thank-for all the nice commments on my javelin-wielding pumpkin plant. Both shots were taken the same afternoon. Don Canon G2, +15 diopters, no shame. |

CDS... that's one of the great reasons to post here... for others' insights into helmets and all sorts of things. Thanks. c0ntr0lz... thanks... I'll post details when I get back to my other computer. I seldom think about doing it these days. In the meantime, I can offer the technique I use to get things in focus using +15 diopers: I half-press the shutter to get something (anything) in focus and then I move the camera in and out slightly until I see exactly what I want in focus. The depth of field is so shallow that you need to make decisions on anything that's not perfectly flat. Cheers, Don |

that is beautiful Don polka dot amour in their polka dot armor they are so tiny to photograph it's almost like a reflection of the ladybird itself and what a beautiful pumpkin flower. lovely shot
