Default Brands Hatch 27th May - Masters Historic Festival - Oh the Soggyness!!!

Evening all,

Just the one day this weekend for me at Brands for the Masters Historic Festival. The day dawned grey and nasty and didn't brighten up 1 little bit for the morning.

My hastily developed waterproofing technique of old waterproof trousers and gaffer tape worked bloody well actually!

A few are attached below for your comments.

Thanks for looking.

1. I know photographers are meant to be accident magnets but this is ridiculous!

2. Yummy

3. Group C through Surtees

4. Joest Porsche in full flight

5. Every race should contain an early 1970's Tyrell

6. Silk Cut Jags through Paddock. Both beaten by a very well sorted Spice

7. Yes. Ok. I just like the Tyrells ok?!

8. And finally as the light was getting worse. I then gave up and went home

Thanks again for looking. Next weekend off for me until the DTM's in a fortnight. Woo!

JB

Don't know the 'togs name Dan. But he didn't stand there for the next session! Trouble is a Lola T70 is my favourite car so don't like seeing one get broken!

Thanks for the comments chappies

Thought it was you, saw you briefly heading away from Druids..

I was in disguise all weekend:

Wet weather gear on me
Wet weather gear on the camera - Union Jack lens hood not so conspicuous
Different car - I was also in a Scud, but a smaller DIEsel one

Right so Union Jack lens hood. Shall keep an eye out for you at the DTM on the Saturday.

And Geoff, I have no idea what you look like. Distinct lack of plasticine figures up there from what I've seen!

Big Northern bloke usually carrying a 20D & Sigma 120-300 which is cunningly disguised as a Canon L by the addition of red sparky's insulation tape around the end of the hood...as we all know, if it doesn't have a red stripe it's no good

Not sure if/when i'll be at Brands again this year.

Not even for the Saturday of the DTM before the crowds rock up?

I'll try and remember the description for next time. But I'll say hello to you next time Dave. Or stand in front of the fence to block you, I always try and be nice and get out of the way incidentally in case you guys slag off some pillock who kept getting in the way

Winner. It's a sticker rather than the whole hood being UKd up!
