Evening all,
On a spur of the moment thing I thought I'd head to Lydden Hill in Kent for a day in the sunshine. The meeting was a real grass roots clubbie with sprinting in the morning and then 10 races packed into the afternoon with a real mix of cars. As usual I caught up with Martin - thanks for the loan of the spare card - and had a natter. Interesting track to shoot. Suprised I don't see more of you guys there. No catch fences anywhere! Here's a few to comment on. DTM next weekend. Slight culture shift... 1. Caterham's galore 2. This car was probably full height once 3. "I'll be fine unless I hit the... oh" (BTW, nice legs Martin) 4. Another Caterham 5. MG's up Hairy Hill That'll do cos it's late and I'm tired! Thanks for looking guys JB |

cool shots, specially #4. Never been to Lydden Hill, does the track have a web site showing dates for upcoming races? looks like a cool track.
Spend most of my time at Brands as i live on the doorstep, seriously looking forward to DTM, already booked off Friday!

Lydden is like Brands Hatch thats been peeled off its current location, scrunched up a little bit and then boil washed to 2/3rds the size, and put down near Dover in a timewarp of about 20 years ago.

I love the place. No pitlane and hardly any armco. Just grass banks!
There's a meeting there in mid-July that I know of. And they're always short of marshals so you could always try your hand at that for a day! Thanks for the comments guys. And thanks for the photo Martin. I'll get you back this weekend! JB |
