Default Okay- I feel dumb, but what does PP stand for?

I tried the search feature and nada. I also couldn't find a list of common abbreviations. What the heck does PP stand for? I see it a lot in posts and it's starting to give me a complex because I can't figure it out

Something you'll become well acquainted with now that you have a DSLR.

Gotcha!

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good editing program . Most of my photos are *as is* except for some brightening.

Ya gotta sharpen them, at minimum. Unlike point and shoot photos, DSLR images are unprocessed out of camera. Antialiasing filters in the camera make them appear soft, so a good post processing workflow is important. Some will tell you that using parameters fixes the problem. And they're entitled to their opinion.

My suggestion would be to purchase Photoshop Elements 5, which is a good program for under a hundred bucks. Your images will look a lot better.

One which isn't in there - is chimping - do you know that one? If not, it'll make you chuckle .

Oh that IS a funny one. Does anyone have that chimping link on Sports Shooter's site? It's hilarious but gets the point across.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player.
