my Canon Power Shot SD630 incompatible with 4 gb SDHC cards?

It seems my Canon Power Shot SD630 camera is incompatible with the 4 gb SDHC card that came with it from the ebay seller. I get a "memory card error--card locked" message. The card will work in a different camera, however, so the card is functional. I just bought a new 2 gb SD card, and that works fine in the 630 camera. This is frustrating.

Avoid SDHC for now, it only seems to work on the latest cameras ans card readers. The SD630 was released before SDHC was availalble so I would say he sold you a mis-match.

Right - the SD630's not supposed to support SDHC. See if the seller will exchange the 4 GB SDHC for 2x2 GB straight SDs.

Not so - the S3IS can handle SDHC and that's DiGiC II. A710 is also DiGiC II and SDHC-capable.
