Interesting capture. that red Pegasus was a symbol of an oil company before right? What is its significance to the courthouse? Thanks for sharing.

This is an exterior of the Old Red Courthouse. Built in 1892 it is now the Museum of Dallas County History and Culture.

The Pegasus has become a symbol of Dallas and was originally placed on top of the Magnolia Oil Bldg (later Mobil).
The building is now a hotel, but a replica of the original Pegasus still rotates above it.

While I was there, a girl was having her bridal portraits taken in front of it. Because it's Texas, she was wearing a beautiful white gown, cowboy boots, and she was holding an antique rifle! I love Texas.
