Default Dale Jr. goes to Hendrick Motor Sports

He just announced that he will be driving for Hendrick. Man that sucks. As a Junior and Senior fan I "hate" Hendrick, and now Junior is racing for him.

I hear you...I have never cheered for a Hendrick driver in the two decades I have watched NASCAR. I am also an ardent Earnhart fan. Such a quandry...what happened to RCR?

My guess is that he went to Hendrick because of how well they did with the COT (car of tomorrow).

He just wants to win a championship, can't think of a better way to do that.
He should do well there, the team he was on was never get that for him.

1. Wants to win races

2. Wants to be his own man without being "Dale's son"

3. Wants an owner that is genuine without having family envolved or other power boosting qualities.

Mission accomplished. Now, let's see what happens when Visa comes on board with Bud going to Kasey Kahne's car.(my speculation...not a fact)

There are going to be a lot of drunk and miserable Jr. fans tonight!! The Bud will be flowing as they cry in their beer. Won't hurt the beer any.

This is one of the biggest marketing coups of NASCAR recent history! Jr. and Gordon in the same garage!! Love it!

Kyle Busch is the odd man out here, be interesting to see where he goes.

RCR couldn't do it for Jr. Hendrick is a top-notch shop and will provide the necessary to allow Jr. to be the best he can be.

This is going to be fun to watch!!!

Having been to many races, just about all of them while working with the NASCAR broadcast for 2 years, there are going to many torn up fans who will be totally lost.

Personally I could care less for NASCAR in general. It's really been going downhill in recent years and I've lost interest. However, it makes sense for him to move to Hendrick instead of RCR. FWIW, I could have cared less for RCR and Hendrick when I did watch NASCAR.

Money isn't really what he was after, it is a championship. In the time since RCR won their last, Hendrick has claimed 6. If Jr. wants a championship, Hendrick is the smart move.

RCR is not the organization it once was, although that's not to say it won't rise to that status again. I'll avoid spreading gossip about how poorly it really is run, but as someone who lives and works within 5 miles of RCR it's very obvious.

Hendrick certainly pulled one off here. Hope Junior can deal with having a couple of prima donnas for teammates. He certainly doesn't appear to be a good fit with that crowd of fruitcakes.

Love him or hate him, Jeff Gordon is good.
Junior might learn a thing or two from Jeff Gordon. (Like how to marry a model, get divorced, and still win races.)

I think Jeff Gordon has been good for Nascar. Kinda gives it a wider appeal, being that he's a Cali-guy...(Like it or not, Nascar has had that "bunch of red-necks going around in circles" image...personally I enjoy watching Nascar racing. It's exciting!)

Perhaps this leaves the Busch brothers free to start their own team...I wonder who they could get for sponsors. Maybe the national coalition of anger management counselors? Or perhaps one of the "pro" wrestling leagues? Maybe PETA...yep PETA, that is it...(people for the ethical treatment of @$$holes)

Is it Jeff or the team? Remember that he won with Evernham, and is winning now but with Loomis was it, he couldn't win. And Johnson has won just as much as Jeff lately.
