Just a little something that I have been trying to work on when I shoot drag racing is to try and convey a since of motion. A car with its wheels in the air, burnout, panning, all work well. All of my shots lacking something like this were boring to me. However, your shots are neat to look at since they are new to me. Just my .o2.

Yes, this season i really want to work on panning and getting that right. Last year was my first year with the 350d so i didnt want to go out and do anything silly. So i was just targeting good solid shutter speeds.

I hope to pick up a few more panning tips here to try out when our season kicks off again in October this year

I know what you mean Joeseph, that shot of the Wayco car reminds me of taking photos of it at Pukekohe V8's (doing a burnout), I probably should have stopped shooting to cover my ears

Absolutely.

When our top doorslammers come out i put ear muffs on top of my ear plugs so im not cringing when they go past.

We are quite fortunate in NZ that we can get so close to the track when the cars go zooming by. its great
