Venus will eclipse the sun

On june, 8th Venus will eclipse the sun. I would like to photograph the event with G3. What settings should I use? Is there any danger of damaging CCD when photographing the sun?

The only way this could be done without very specialised equipment would be by using a projected image of the sun. I describe a very basic method which I used for "photographing" sunspots here:
