Default C&C this image please

I took this photo at the last wedding I was at.. I messed around a Lil in in PS with it, but I am still learning...anyhows the bride loved this pic b.c you can see them in the mirror so she asked me to print it up for her..but if i could take out the flash spots in the background...I tried but I make it look worse... suggestions? Or just leave it like this for her..

the flash spots look fine to me, but the image is VERY dark! I'd play with the curves a bit and try to brighten up the whites.

The flash spots by the cake dont bother me. The fact that its dark doesn either - but I like stuff darker than most. Too bad the mirror is intersecting her head in the background. That would have been really cool. I'd personally subdue the reflection b/c of that, to give the image a clearer focal point & smooth out the compositional flow.

I also agree the set up is fine, but you can't really see her expression directly, and the reflection of her face is not perfect...

I think the flashes are awesome too... but we're not the ones making the requests...
I don't think there is an easy way to get rid of them. It's removed a lot of detail from a lot of parts of the cake. It CAN be done but it'll take a lot of effort. I find it a little dark too, but still like the mood. See if you can convince her that the flashes look great. Tell her a bunch of other pros thought it made the shot....

good job with the pp. the reflection of the cake in the mirror looks a little weird, but i did like the flash spots. i think taking them out takes away from the shot, but its what the client wants. good shot though.

I wouldve composed the shot differently. the picture is kinda creepy to me, the reflection kinda looks like a ghost.
