Hi, I've been reading this forums for a good while, learning a lot, they're great.
But I was wondering..... I'm a Nikon user ( as the exif on my pictures sometimes shows ) but of course, outside the particular Canon threads, people just post photographs, not makers. So, what I would like to know is, can I post pictures without getting " Yeah, it's good, but it's from a Nikon..... " ? |

Of course you can post the pics. There have been several threads recently with the same question - and even the boss said it was OK
Go for it - we are all here to learn. You may get some comments from the occasional comedian - but I wouldn't let that worry you. (On a side note, down here in Australia we recently had a ship run aground in foul weather. There have been many pictures posted all over the internet of it hard in against the beach - and the best I have seen so far were taken on a D2X - I would love to talk to that guy). There are always irrational zealots, but they're a relative minority. Most of the comments you'll receive are going to be good-natured. Post to your heart's content.
BTW, as proof of this, there's a thread running right now where a member asks if he should buy a Canon G7 or Nikon D40. The vast majority of responses have been to buy the Nikon. We're pretty open-minded here.

be good to see some decent Nikon pictures here. From the way some people talk, a tiny minority, you'd think it wasn't possible to get great images from a Nikon. Fact is thousands use them and thousands of professionals make a living using Nikon. Good luck and you should say you shoot Nikon when you post.

Post your shots. We're not racist here. You might get some good natured joshing, but that's all that it'll be.
We're all adult enough here to say that it's the photograph that stands on it's merits, not the equipment. |

Although sometimes it is better to remove some imperfections from the pictures BEFORE posting…

At my last job we were all nikon, so some shots I've posted have been from a Nikon, even though I'm probly one of the ones who feels the strongest about Canon's superiority.
