You have any experience with that board?
I have never used Foxconn before - for my AMD I have the DFI LanParty board (and I am not a gamer, but it is a good board and in the same price range). It has many slots for drives - it is a pretty nice board!

Asus
MSI
DFI
and Tyan
are all board companies I have used and have had good luck with. (Though the last MSI board I had P!$$3D me off!)

DFI, I've looked into that one also. Does it have firewire at the rear?
Asus is a good brand, I've used them before. They have a 590 board that is rated pretty highly.

We are watching "the Shooter". Its SO weird to see Danny Glover (aka Sargeant Murtaugh ) play a bad guy.

The Foxconn was suggested by a friend, and looking at the specs it looks like a good board. I'm not a gamer either, but the idea of 2 video cards working together seems like a good idea. Photos have to be able to take advantage of some of that kind of power, wouldn't you think?

Not yet. I just looked at her profile, and she hasn't logged on yet.
Just watch, this will be the night she doesn't log on.

The DFI also has the two 16x SLI slots for dual cards. You have some options - one, is the two cards working together for MORE POWER - or two seperate cards... which give you four monitor ports... With how cheap LCDs are these days - imagine 4x 19" LCDs mmmmmm

I am not sure if Photoshop would really use the two cards that much - if you have one card that is fairly strong I don't see the use for two.

Some of the larger monitors need a nVidia 6800+ (or ATI equiv.) to even run the monitor (I think the 24 and 30 inchers)... There is also software that will tap the unused processing power of the video card and use it for finding the cure for cancer, etc...

LOL, now that would be the trick. How many cards will it take to do something like that?
