Hi! First posting in this section, here are a couple of shots from Saturday's action at Hickstead. All shot with Canon 400d, 70-300 lens. The weather was pretty grim and I was juggling the camera and a golf umbrella to try and keep dry

I love all three shots. The first is a great timing capture of the horse at the apex of its jump. Shows the pure athletism of this fine animal. The second shot has two things that I like. I like the stance of the horse and I like the guy with the shovel in the left background. And the third makes it look as thoug h the horse is dancing. All three make me feel good. Thanks for posting!

I agree with Zippy - the guy with the shovel really sums up the feeling. I like the expression of determination on that riders face too. Good on you for braving the weather.
