Problems with EOS Utility 2.0.2 Updater for Windows

I downloaded the updater from Canon's website, but I keep getting this error message:

"You cannot install EOS Utility on this computer. Verify whether the required environment for use has been satisfied."

I'm not sure what the "required environment" is. I'm running Windows XP, and I've already installed all the software that came with my XTi from the EOS Digital Solution Disk (v 13.1).

Does anybody have any suggestions?

do you have a eos utility 2.0 or a vs 1.
I think there was a 2.0 update from the 1 series.

i have version 1. the canon site doesn't seem to have the version 2 update. any ideas where i can find it?

nevermind, when i d/led service pack 2 it installed just fine. thanks though.

XP x64 sp2, same cd version (13.1) and I can't update to 2.4.0. Any ideas?
It seems I'll be going for a card reader...
