Default Spyder 2 Suite or Spyder 2 Pro Monitor Calibrator?

I’m a serious … not pro … amateur photographer and am in the market for a reliable monitor calibrator that will work with both a circa 1998 (Gateway) 19” desktop CRT and a circa 2006 (Dell) laptop computer.

Will either the Spyder 2 Suite … or Spyder 2 Pro … work with both computers … or only the Spyder 2 Pro.

What other factors should I consider in making an intelligent choice? Thanks.
