(Sorry, I struggle with the title the most. )

I am looking for a good place to Blog. Since I write a fair deal, I am either looking for a simple template that would help me host it on my own website, or an established Blog place, where I can post my rantings without fear of the site going under, or being deleted, or anything else you can think of.

Any thoughts?...

Thanks, I will look it out. Anyone else using another solution, or hosting their own?...

Live Journal? I've had one a long time, my writing buddies are my buddies on there and are given daily updates on anything I post. It's just like a blog, been going strong a long time. I like the templates, they're easy and fast and you can focus more time on your writing.

If you have your own server and meet the minimum requirements on MySQL & php, you can install Wordpress and use that: www.wordpress.orgexternal link

Thanks for all the comments. I guess I am a bit skeptical about the whole writing thing in someone else's server, but until I cando something like Kevin suggested (Thx, by the way), I will stick to Blogger.

Just started it last night, we'll see how it works.

(I still think the whole Blog thing sounds nuts, a few years back, a blog was an in-house file where we could -as net administrators over California and Latin America- write all the freak ocurrences with IIS, Exchange, and other Microsoft Posessed applications, so that the day time Admins, or anyone troubleshooting, could understand a bit better not just the technical side, but the whys and hows of the desicion making -there was this one server that just would not work, so we would replace it, taking half a night, but the day crew, thought the replacement server was not good, so they spent half their day switching it back to the old one; this went on almost as a joke for over a month, and we finally instituted the blog, with its first entry ever being something like "Yo, leave the F-ing server alone!! Signed, Management.")
