Default Motorsport with polarizer

I'm off to Belgium to shoot some motocross next week, and I'm hoping the weather will be good.I will be using a 70-200 2.8 for most of it and I was wondering whether many of you shoot with a polarizer fitted. I never have in the past but was thinking it might help when getting the air shots. Most shots will be at 500th sec or above.

I guess the air shots will look nicer with a polarizer, provided you shoot at an angle of approx. 90 degrees to the sun. You'd loose 2-3 stops with a polarizer, so in order to freeze action, you would have to take this into account.

Kidn regards, Wim

I've used the polarizer at the track to help with reflections from windshields. And when you get a bit of sky in there (because you have to stand so far away and don't own a 500 or 600mm lens) it definitely looks better.

Motocross sounds like it has a potential for flying mud so a filter of some sort would be good insurance.
Personally, I only use a filter on my 70-200 f/2.8 when it's neccessary as I think the results are better without it....UV filter that is...I don't have a Polariser that size yet.

Thanks for the replies,If it's blue skies then I'll probably give it a go just to satisfy my curiosity.
