What do you think of this photo? Too busy? Would like to hear your honest comments. This is my first submission. I used a hand held EF 70-200 L F/4

There lies the problem. If the pictures leads to questions like this, it's usually too busy. Yes I'd say it's too busy, well exposed and what not, but it is a tad busy.

if the boat in the foreground is your subject then yes, it's too busy.

Personally I'd rather not take a shot when it's busy if it's a subject I know I can get another time when it's not going to be busy. I hate background clutter. Sometimes you can remove it with a narrower DOF but with objects this close together there's not much you can do.

I agree with all of you 100%. My main problem is lack of patience. New camera, new lens, new hobby. I believe that I will start getting better with practice. There is so much to learn and so much practice is needed to get those good shots. I envy many of the shots that I see on this forum and very anxious to duplicate them. Thanks for the C&C
