Ad to run in Shutterbug

My man at Shutterbug just emailed me part of an add that's going in the October edition.

I really don't know if I'm allowed to show this, but I can't see too much harm in it as they're shipping it all over soon anyways.

Nope, this was all he had. I'm sure some real specs will surface soon though. Canon normally does a press release soon after a small preview like this.

Is it just me or does the 40D as shown above have an EF lens on there. While those can surely be mounted wouldn't you expect an EF-S lens on there in an ad?

*Might* this not fuel some rumour such as a potential full-frame camera?

Actually, that's a 17-85 in the second shot, but all the speculation has said fullframe. perhaps they found a way to make a full frame change back and forth to an EF-S sensor size??

This is simply what I got emailed to me. He's always been reliable, so I have no reason to doubt. The 40 looks kosher to me, although I'm no expert on PS jobs like this.

The 40 looks like it matches the EOS on my screen. Not sure about the D though, I guess it could be because it's got that funky lined thing going on.

huh, you could be right. Although after looking at my 20d I can tell that the 20 looks a bit bigger than the EOS. Is it the same on the 30?
