#6. I was there on a VIP pass from the Isilon MSS Discovery Kawasaki team so i got a few shots for them...

#7

All shot on the 1DMK2N & Canon 100-400L. 2 or 3 of them have the 1.4x TC attached as i was travelling light due to the huge crowds.

Thanks for looking in.

Geoff, Nice set of images, like the Rutter - Walker shot the best. I guess you would have been happier with your primes?

Cheers

Cheers Peter.

Yep, i got well & truly cheesed off with waiting for the MK3 however that wasn't the main reason i cancelled. I'll give you the whole story next time i see you.

One thing i like about most of the Superbike riders is that they're quite happy to play for the cameras at the end of the session

Thanks Nick.

I don't actually own any primes (yet, ) but i tend to use the 120-300 more than anything else these days. However as i knew the crowd would be massive on Sunday i decided the 100-400L would be more managable as i left the monopod at home too.

Yes thanks Glen, it's a lovely bit of kit and i'm impressed with how you looked after it

Sunday's main problem was the crowd and limited shooting spots. My favourite places were 3 or 4 deep in sweaty bikers so i spent most of the day stretching over the fence to get shots.
I'm looking forward to a quieter meeting to give the MK2N a thorough work-out so i might go to Oulton Park this Saturday

Thanks for the comment Matt.

I'm working on the gallery at the moment so i'll have a look for your mate. I might have a shot from Qualy on Saturday but i haven't even looked at those yet

Don't see you using your 100-400 much these day Geoff, you probably had to wipe the cobwebs off it first

I actually tried a few shots with the 1.4x TC fitted and they came out quite nicely.
It's a very nice, lightweight alternative to the Sigma and is perfect for days like yesterday.

How do you fancy the Oulton Park Gold Cup over Bank Holiday weekend ?
