Default Zion National Park and Valley of Fire State Park

Had a busy weekend and thought I would share some of the photos that I took. Comments are highly encouraged as this is a great forum for learning.

Nice series Carl _ only suggestion is host them on an external web service like flickr for free. The compression taken place attaching them here is causing you to loose some detail.

Thanks for the advice...I'll do that from now on--probably easier that way to begin with.

Yes, some look dark and not as sharp as if you linked the images.

1 and 3 are beautiful. The wide shot makes the mountain range look more majestic.

1, 2 and 6 are my picks. 1 has an HDR quality to it. Where are 2 and 6 shot?

Nice series. I really like the first shot. Is is just me or does #4 look like an elephant...

Thanks for all of the comments folks. #1 was my first attempt at an HDR image. #2 and #6 were taken at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada--about 45 mins. north of Las Vegas. And not too suprising at all, #4 is actually called "Elephant Rock".

1 and 4 for me. Wish there were less haze in 4 so that background would pop out. Wonderful work!
