Default Osprey in Gold

Caught this Osprey in the warm morning light. This bird flew overhead as I was loading up to leave so I watched and it dropped down in the distance toward the tree line. So I grabbed my gear and headed in that direction. I came upon it perched in this unlikely spot nowhere near any water. As it adjusted its grip I snapped this one. Canon 20D / 100-400L / Mnopod using Pine tree as brace

Great lighting. The natural sunlight is beautiful on this bird. Nice shot!
