Really nice shot. The entrance on the other end seems a little blown out. It just seems to pull my eyes right there because it is so bright. The shadow on the water is really cool. Just curious what version of the Gorilla Pod do you have.

Thanks everyone. I did push up the brightness a little probably a tad too much.

I have the Gorillapod SLR Zoom ... did not want to lug a tripod around on vacation. This worked great sitting wrapped around one of the posts up there on the hill.

May I ask where you took this shot from? Do you remember the street name? I've been planning on a trip to shoot the bridge but haven't gotten around to it yet.

BTW, great picture!

Just before you enter the bridge from the north side (going towards SF from San Rafael) there is a 'Vista point' exit which takes you all the way to the top of the small hillock. You can view pacific ocean on one side, SF and Oakland straight ahead and Alcatraz to the left of bridge. You have to park the car and walk all the way to the top of the hill to reach the WWII AD gun nest and scenic view. It is the last exit on 101 before you enter the bridge. You can't miss it.

I am pretty sure the above pic is taken from that point.
