Around 11 inches high, 7 inches deep (front to back) and 18 inches wide. It can easily take two 1D or 10D with either a 100-400L or 70-200 2.8IS attached, lens down with hood reversed.

On the race circuit I have my 1D with a 300 2.8L IS attached on a monopod over one shoulder, plus the 10D with 70-200 with hood mounted, lying horizontally in the bag which hangs from my other shoulder.

As the season goes on I get fitter 8) especially as at some meetings I can easily walk 5 or 6 miles during a shoot.

Oh, I forgot, my Domke vest has a few items stuffed in the pockets as well, including a couple of essential bottles of energy drink.

I use a Lowe Pro Elite III. Okay, so I bought it back in 1982 with my olympus OM1 gear. It still is a gem of a case.

Included is the DRebel, doubler, extension tube, Olympus-Canon adapter, flash, remote, filters, lens hood, extra battery, blower, extra memory cards, five lenses, data transfer gear, a small tripod (almost useless) for my Canon S40. Still need to figure out what to put in the old film holders.

I read somewhere that the difference between black bear poop and grizly bear poop was that black bear poop smells like poop and has blueberry twigs in it whereas Grizly poop smells like pepper and has bells in it.

Uh oh. Don't you know that self defence is illegal in the People's Republic of Canada? Especially with such an evil gun that killed so many people in the movies...

If you have a pistol, you need athorization to transfer, which outlines times and routes from your house to the range. You're gonna get in trouble if you stop to put some gas in your car, while transferring... let alone using it for bears! And self defence.
