Age dont mean jack s**t, if you know how to use a camera and have an eye for a picture then you will get great shots, and these are GREAT SHOTS, carry on like this and you could end up being a pro motorsports tog.

Hi Ryan,

Some very nice shots there you caught, looks like you were at the right corner to catch the cars going wide. All nice and sharp and good colour, and the dust makes the shots look more dramatic

Cool photos!

Have you considered making your copyright logo a little smaller or more transparent? It really detracts from the images, IMO.

PS what do you think of your sigma 70-200? I'm in the market to get a lens in that range :-/

Great shots Ryan but I have to agree with Charles. Your copyright covers too much of your good work ............

I know you've only just reduced it, another reduction by 50% would sort it

hi mate, yeah, my sigma 70-200 is a awesome lens, have used my brothers canon 70-200 and i be honest, for the price difference i much rather the sigma lens, always get sharp images out of it. all of the above are taken with my sigma 70-200.
#2 and #3 from the 1400's and #2 and #5 from the main field are all taken from a fair distance and have been shot through dust clouds and as you can see they are all very sharp.
all in all its a very good lens and i would recomend you buying one

Regards,
Ryan

Ryan, these are good. You seem to have fixed the over-exposure problems you had on a lot of your previous shots - Good work. You could try dropping your shutter speed a little though... the tyres and wheels look a little static on these.

Everything is great on these, except for the fact they look stationary (but the sharpness mostly makes up for this )

Full front on shots, with shallow depth of field (wide open) would work well, but everything else, try shooting under 1/320th. Half that, and gets even better. I can't see your exif, but guessing it's around 1/800th-1/1250th?

Firstly I have never taken rally shots so take my commenst with a pinch of salt.

You have nailed virtually every one ~ nice and sharp but as remarked above by those more experienced than me the lack of wheels blur for me gives the images an odd quality in that other than the stones and dust flying they could have been stationery. So practice panning for those side on shots with a lower shutter speed & also try a lower shutter speed with the 3/4 on ones to introduce some wheel tread blur.

Certainly looks like your are on the way to better things IMO.

PS re the watermark, if you can reduce it somewhat please do so. I am well aware of the need to protect images but very few of the pros here seem to watermark at all

I'll agree on the watermark comment - make it really small and in one of the corners.

I'm also 14

nicely done. i like how some of the dust storm's leading edge is frozen in some of the pictures so can get a sense of speed.
