looks like that video posted awhile back where the software picked up a bunch of photos from flicker of Notre Dame and it compiled into one large photo that you could zoom in and out of the shot.

btw, this is an image composed of a lot of images and stitched together.
Zoom in on the cars on the middle right of the screen and you will see part of a truck coming out of a car.

Kind of related, a 502mp (equivalent) panorama of Brisbane City by a guy I know.

http://www.shaunjohnston.com/brisbane_pano/

105 shots stitched together and 6 hours rendering. May take a while to load, but be patient

Isn't this the same theory behind Google Earth?

Pretty neat, nonetheless...

Nice stitch of a boring area. It's Harlem. So what? Seems like a great deal of work for nothing.

Oh, wait. Nevermind. I just found Waldo.

All those windows and nothing interesting going on. The best thing I can find is a ghost walking in the park.

This was using a program called photosynth. Truly amazing. I was playing around with it the other night. Check out http://labs.live.com/photosynth/ to view it. I found it best viewed in IE, Firefox was giving me trouble.

I haven't seen a picture like that in a few years. It's 13 times bigger than this one of Machu Picchu.
