Default Stunning Lotus Elise
Got a chance to shoot this today, very limited where I could take it as its not street legal and our area seems to attract cops.

There's a couple version they make that are strictly for track use, and as such aren't road legal. The most extreme version, I believe, is the exige cup which doesn't even have headlights.

I'd love to whip that thing around a road course. Awesome rig shots, especially the unique angle of shots 2 and 3. I'm curious too, what's not street legal about this Elise? It had to have been at one time seeing as it has California plates.

Thanks for all the comments!

This car has a supercharger w/ a liquid-to-air intercooler (the black thing coming out of the engine cover). CA's strict CARB laws frown on stuff like this.

Strange how laws dictate what's street legal and what isn't over there. I know the owner of exiges.com who's had more Exige/Elise derivatives than you can shake a stick at, and his current most mental steed is a 420bhp (maybe more I can't remember off-hand) 20v Audi turbo Motorsport Elise, Nitron shocks etc the works. It is to all intents and purposes a race car, but is road legal. Blows the doors of his other motors too, a Roush GT, and a CL65 AMG amongst many.

Re: photos, lovely colours on it, the milky grey suite it. The shots are ace, and I really like the rig shot.
