Default Boom!!

Or should I better call it the sound of silence?
Some old canons in a historical town I went to visit last weekend. Took it n B&W just to capture the mood and liked it this way.

C&C most welcome.

nilroy, its a little too much contrast for me with loss of detail. part of appeal of this image is the texture on the canons. I also dont find it sharp, and is a little over exposed. I like the idea

hmmm... i get your point, kevindar. Actually, increasing the contrast was the only post-processing i did...maybe I overdid it!
Here's the original one for you... does this work any better for you? I find it a bit too grey!

nilroy, I played around with it a little, but honestly could not get something I am happy with. The white area on the top right corner is distracting. the image is a little soft and I am not sure how to improve the composition. so I dont think this is much of an improvement, but for what its worth,

Hi Nilroy,

Since you do not have 'Editing OK' switched on, would it be ok if I have a go at editing your picture?

It's a neat photo but maybe just a little too much contrast. B&W was a good way to catch the atmosphere surrounding them though
