Default First "HDR" Attempt

I had been itching to try out HDR so I found a RAW photo I thought might work, and although it doesn't have that artistic HDR effect to it, I still think it turned out pretty nice, tell me what you think.

that s a good ?

I would expect more detail in the shadow for HDR. There is a lot of dark space.

I think you should try taking three or more separate shots. The details will come out alot better. Also what program were you using?

did you use one raw? I was thinking of doing this to create pseudo hdrs for moving images etc creating copies and highlighting different points shadows etc using curves then blending them...

It was only one RAW, thats why i put HDR in quotation marks. I will try taking it with 3 shots next time, but I had some time to kill and this photo and I figured I'd see what I could do. It was done using Photomatix.

That would be interesting to see Tobiah, although I'm not sure if it would work because you're supposed to have the images fully under or over exposed. It might mess with the algorithm used to generate the images, but its worth a try. If you do try it, please post up your results, I'm curious.
