Haven't seen this before, so that's the question. I've got a 30D (no grip) with an 35L, 85L, and 135L. I need a comfortable bag to fit it in. Now I've got a Kata H-14 which holds any one lens on the camera just fine, with room for another in the side pocket (as long as it's not the 85L...wide f-ing thing).
Any ideas?

Ron, take a look at the crumplers. i think that the x million dollar home series is fantastic and i think that even the 5 million can fit what you need. i know that the 6 million will fit it for sure.
what type of bag are you looking for anyway? |

5D w/ grip and holy trinity easily fits in a 7mil dollar. The way I shot out of a bag I like to be able to mount any lens on the body and still fit all of my gear. So I often under pack or buy a larger bag then necessary. I use to carry trinity, 30D w/grip, 24-105, 10-22, in a 7 mil dol. The 85 is so husky keep that in mind when getting a bag.

I'm pretty sure that the Crumpler 5MDH would be too small for that setup, but the 6MDH or 7MDH should work just fine. A ThinkTank Urban Disguise 40 would also do the trick.

isn't this answer a stickie yet?

^ def due to thickness. I think the 7 is overkill.

The Crumpler might do...never cared for them really, though. Never seemed like the ones I tried had enough padding. I'm looking for a comfy sling bag. The closer I can get to my H-14, the better. I love that bag.

I know it, eh? I adore my H-14....it just won't hold all three, though.

So do you wanna know what would work best, or are you more interested in bags with the highest resale?
![]() Sorry, I don't know much about bags. I just felt like taking a cheap shot at Ron. All in good fun Ronny, take no offense!

7mil
It snugly holds both my bodies with a grip on the 20d, and the 5 lenses.. although, the 10d is tucked deep in the bottom.

Not interested in the 7mil. Too big. That's ALL I want it to hold is the 30D and HT. Nothing else. I want to keep size to a minimum.

I'm a chimper. There I said it...

Ever think of making your own? Heres mine and instead of dropping the other body with the lens just drop the lens. It has a gladstone type top that tays open and that makes it easy to get the cameras out. And the 35 or the 24 goes in the front zippered pocket.

How about this:
![]() ![]() It's a tamrac pro 5. Best of all it's "only" $59.95. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...amera_Bag.html It's tall enough to fit a 70-200mm f/2.8 on my 5D (or 1 series) as well as store 2 other lenses in the other section. If you have a short lens attached, the other short lens goes under it and the camera and the long lens goes in the side section. My sections, look at the second shot. The centered part is where the lens on the camera goes, then depending on how you set up the dividers, one of the other sides will easily fit lenses, the other won't. You should easily be able to put the 85mm and 35mm in one section and the 135mm in the other. My only issue with the Tamrac is the shoulder strap could use some more padding. I bought a crumpler strap pad to solve that issue. Also, as for making your own, these inserts from Domke are a bit easier than plucking one: ![]() Good Luck!
