Default Monopod

Hello,

Can someone suggest a decent monopod and head? I have a 20D with a grip.

Thanks

What lenses will you be using? Monopods are rated for total weight, so it helps to know what gear you will be attaching.

The biggest and the heaviest lens I have is the 100-400IS.. After that, the heaviest would be the 28-135IS which isn't heavy at all..

Thanks

I have never found a need for a pod with the 100-400. I normally use it with the 300 f/2.8. I use a Bogen 3249 with the 3229 head. I believe that any medium duty pod would work fine. Check out B&H.

I want the monopod for those times where tripods are not allowed or for times when I just don't feel like hand holding the camera with this or any other lens...

Thanks

I have the Bogen 679B pod with the 3232 tilt head. Use it all the time with my 100-400.
