well mr. soviet union, you can use just about any image application to resize your photos. CS2/CS3, Lightroom, ACR export lets you choose image size, Lightroom export also lets you constrain sizes, free Picasa 2 will do that also. Just about all programs will resize photos. you just gotta pick the pictures and run it through.

I'd use Lightroom, exported at a lower dpi. But I still prefer to give clients full-res photos.

I use a freeware batch resizer called Visualizer Photo Resize (http://www.freeimagebrowser.com/resize/). It will resize an entire folder of photos and add a watermark as well. Easy Peasey.

Some might scoff at me for this, and it's a lot of work, but I print out all my photos as 4x6s, I then take an old 1 megapixel kodak camera and take pictures of the printed out pictures... sure it takes a long time, but I personally feel like you get quality that you will never get using a software resizing program. my 2 cents. Instant 8 megapixel to 1 megapixel down-conversion. simple really

Do you watermark yours? Are you saying you give away full res photos, completely post-processed, with no watermarkings? If that is the case, you are giving away the chance for future print business. Even if you don't choose to print yourself, that is money out the door.

LOL or if he wants to avoid this extra work, he'll just take said Kodak camera with him to the wedding and use that as a main body. It really is a perfect workflow.

Yeah, it's ok. I get all the looks from the girls in the hallway when I'm sitting there with my macbook pro and everyone else has crappy dells.

Woo ... oh wait, I'm not single. Damnit!

** scoff **

That's ri-fricking-diculous. And I think the term instant is misused. Whatever works, I guess.
